Sample Wedding Budget Philippines: Wedding Elements and Expenses Breakdown

UPDATED June 2019: One of the first things Anthony and I considered was our wedding budget. We discussed our non-negotiables (priorities), things we wanted for the wedding, elements we needed, and other stuff in between. We came up with this post to provide a sample wedding budget Philippines couple maybe looking for.

How we came up with our wedding budget

  1. First. What we did was read, read, and read. We read a lot of resources online and in magazines, some of our favorites are Wedding at Works and METROYou might also want to consider joining the W@W FB Group to gain more insight on detailed wedding preparations. We are both members of the group and it helped us both a lot with our preps. Thanks, Mimma!
  2. Then, we visited bridal fairs to check the different suppliers in the field. And also to get an estimate of how much likely we will allocate per supplier.
  3. Then, we decided which wedding elements are our non-negos and others.

We know what each other’s lucrative wants and needs are. This is important in deciding your budget! You have to understand what your fiancée/fiancé is most likely to spend on then provide enough consideration to decide if it will be an in or out in your costing. Anthony is a musician, and I know from the very beginning what he’s most likely to splurge on—the “band”. So, we both decided to have the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra play on our wedding ceremony and reception. An 8-piece ensemble serenading everyone in a very intimate wedding is what we really dreamed to have. Further, two more of our non-negos are the venue and caterer! And then from the initial costs of these three, we allocated the other wedding elements accordingly.

As you can see, we’ve also allocated a wedding contingency fund just in case we’ll need to pay for or purchase materials on the day. This will most likely be handled by our OTD team. Do note that our honeymoon budget is not yet included here. Pastor Cesar of Victory in Katipunan, recommends to include that in the overall planning of your wedding budget as well as post-wedding start-up fund. We weren’t able to apply that since we had our Marriage Preparation Seminar a wee bit later than we should have so we’re sharing that with you now. 🙂 How your wedding budget will look entirely depends on your priorities, wants, and needs. Other couples may prioritize video over photo, giveaways over the invitations, etc. You just have to discuss and plan it well. 🙂 PS: You might also want to check out this guide we made on how to get your marriage license in the Philippines and our experience in the fastest NSO branch Philippines! Hi Mark and Cha,
Thanks for sharing your budget tips. I agree that it’s important to discuss with your partner which wedding element to splurge on. In our case, we wanted to have good food and reception style. But nonetheless, having a strict budget can’t be more emphasized.
I hope you can visit our wedding blog too at http://www.thehandsongroom.com and let me know what you think?
