Balai Taal Review | Wedding Venue in Tagaytay

Mark and I initially had eyes for a different venue. However, during one Sunday service, Pastor Erwin (Balanay of Victory Katipunan) mentioned a wedding he officiated in Balai Taal. I wrote it down as a potential Tagaytay wedding venue.
Then on December 2016, we drove up to Tagaytay to do an ocular on the venues we were eyeing. Since Balai Taal was just an option before, we headed there first. We called them up when we were there already, Mang Nelson was accommodating and offered to tour us in. So we went!
While driving down to the gardens, we were already dropping our jaws out. To say the view was beautiful is an understatement. It was gorgeous and mystical, it was captivating, it was enchanting. It was love at first sight. We believe that this is but one of the many instances GOD had led us to better placesโbecause unlike Mark and I, His choices and plans are far too perfect than what we could ever make and do.
And so on February 21, 2018, Mark and I got married here! It’s been almost two months but I still can’t get over this gorgeous Tagaytay wedding venue. It definitely has one of the best (if not the best) unobstructed view of the Taal Volcano and lake.

The Housesย โญโญโญโญโญ
There are four houses in the area, you can rent House 2 and 3. Should there be more guests to stay, you can try asking to rent out House 4. All houses are an exact copy of each other: three floors, five bedrooms, one helper’s room, a dining area, living room, and a huge kitchen.
House 2 is usually used by the bride and her family during preparations while House 3 is for the groom.
The Gardensย โญโญโญโญโญ
The Balai Taal packages include free use of a garden during the event, usually Garden 2 for the reception. If you’re holding a Christian wedding like what we had, you can rent an additional garden for the ceremony, this will be Garden 4.
Communication ย โญโญโญโญโ
Mang Nelson is very kind and patient. He happily answered our questions no matter how many and repetitive they are sometimes. Hehe He replies fast via SMS and he also picks up the phone fast when you call.
Balai Taal Ratesย โญโญโญโญโญ
For ceremony, reception, and accommodation, we’re giving Balai Taal a five-star rating for their packages. It was definitely the best value for the cost we paid. We compared the cost of individual rooms in various hotels (that can accommodate our families), possible venues for reception+ceremony, the sum is always more expensive than Balai Taal. The total package is also well within our wedding budget.
Besides, waking up with the view of Taal and the crisp cold morning is already priceless!

Hi, Dhel! That was how we processed our booking, too! Haha We didn’t get any contract whatsoever, I just kept note of all our agreed arrangements, whether via email or SMS. Though Mang Nelson replies lightning fast with SMS. Hehe It’s also a good practice to visit the venue if you can. Throughout our preparations, we visited 3-4 times prior to actual check-in, I guess this also helped a lot with reviewing the do’s and dont’s for the wedding, venue wise. ๐ Let me know if this helps or if you have further questions! As for the other suppliers, share ko yung GDocs ng mga suppliers. ๐ Yung budget naman, around 800K siya, more or less. Initially, 500K yung ni-set namin na budget. I highly recommend attending bridal fairs to get a cost estimate, specially with your non-negotiable suppliers! ๐
